Anastasiya is 19 years old. Before the war, she used to work with disabled children; and she was also the carer for her granny, who cannot walk, and her grandpa, who has poor eyesight. Anastasiya herself has a disability.
Currently she is staying in Kyiv because she feels responsible for her granny and grandpa.
Anastasiya says that it would be difficult for her to adapt to a new place. So this is her choice as well — to stay where she feels comfortable. It is quiet in their neighborhood for now, but she says, «if things get worse we’ll flee to a bomb shelter.»
«There's no sense in moving to a different region, because nowhere can guarantee safety.»
«My grandpa and granny said that they wouldn’t go anywhere. We’re hoping that the war will end soon. After the victory, I want to study to get a degree as a social worker.»
