Something good from today: I was still in Kyiv when I mailed some flower seeds — verbena and sage — to Maryna in Kharkiv.

And on the 24th of February, at night, my daughter called us and said that Kharkiv is getting bombed… a war! I thought about that envelope [with the seeds] a few times, curious about where it was now. It didn’t even have a postal code. But I didn’t write to Maryna about it, because well, who cares about some seeds and the mail, when Kharkiv is forced to live under bombings.

And just now Maryna wrote to me that… she got the envelope… And I am so surprised that it indeed reached her address, like a messenger from our peaceful life.
